Plaster Seashell

A sculpture created, using a cube mold of Plaster of Paris. I carved my design into the plaster after it hardened. It has the form of  a spiral seashell. To keep the sculpture in a fixed position, I carved an addition of plaster underneath as a round base. After carving it, I painted  the shell a bold orange color and the base a purple color to show a contrast between the shell and the base, even though they’re part of the same sculpture.
